My engine is not firing...
I swapped my d16 for a d16z6, I changed my intake manifold for the one off of my original enigine, and have now changed my distributor back to the original, is there anything else that I need to do to get this thing to run? Please help Ive been without my civic for a week..
its out of a 91 civic si... Im not sure what number.. the fuel pump is working fine... the ecu isnt saying anything is out of the ordinary... i dont think that it is getting spark, and theres a good chance that the injectors arent working. Im using my stock obd0 ecu and wiring harness, but i cant understand why it wont fire up...
Here are a few things you might want to take into consideration...
If your engine turns over, then you can ignore your starter. However, if your engine does not turn over, it could be the starter. Make sure it's ground and plugged in. Simply 2 visible connections.
If engine does not turn over, it could be something inside your distributor. Possibly your coil. Might want to make sure everything is plugged in accordingly. Test your coil first and then your ICM.
If engine turns over but does not start up, you might want to check your ignition fuse under your steering column.
Let me know how it all goes.
