Need help troubleshooting the car after an engine swap
The mechanic just called me and told me that the car started...
He said something was wrong with the harness instruction
Hi all,
The car is an EDM 93 Civic with DPFI engine (D15B2).
I used boomslags OBD0 DPFI > OBD1 conversion harness
The new engine is D16Z6
ECU is a chipped ECU from Phearable
* Engine cranks
* There is fuel at the fuel rail
* The injectors get pulses
First problem is the when the IACV is conneted check engine won't turn off and the relay under the dash doesn't stop clicking.
When the IACV is disconnected check engine turns on and off like it should but it does't turn on as brigth as it should be, it looks like the check engine gets low voltage that way.
When trying to crank the car, looks like the there is spark for a moment and after that is disapears.
Is there a way to check the pulses coming from the distributor?
I once heard that way the ECU can't count the right amount of pulses it won't send ignition.
Any help would be appreciated...
