Default Exhaust Question....

i've done a search and can't find any results i'm looking for.

Right now i have a black widow rear with duals. But the idiot muffler shop, i told them i wanted 2.5" cat back. The morons did a 2.5" axle back and used a Y pipe to 2" on both mufflers. This is screwing up my day since i'm running 10 psi. So now i'm thinking of just going back to a single.

I was wondering has any of you civic's ever tried putting on a blitz nur spec exhaust on? I haven't seen or heard of one yet. If any of you know, how does it sound?

If you told them 2.5 all around then go back and make them do it right, if you paid them then your dumb and screwed. Dont you watch what your mechanic's doing?

Also dual exhaust doesnt really give you any gains there just for show, but if you have a blk widow kit then i see how it would match but it still only for show.

Whats your set up that your running 10psi and what motor? Also if your running that much boost i would just go with 3 inch pipe

Sorry never used the Blitz Nur Spec Exhaust.

yes i was dumb not to check. Only after 3 months i looked under my car. Saw that and was like wth. 500 bucks plus making me wait there for 6 hours. By then i just said **** it. Now it's a year later

My setup:
d16y8
15g greddy kit
greddy type 31 ic
lucas 440cc injectors
vafc hack
turboxs dual stage boost controller
msd wires
ngk 1 step colder plugs
aem power pulleys

I'm in the process of making myself a 2.5" dp and 2.5" test pipe. The reason i want to change is that i'm losing out on top end. When i was running my apexi n1 turbo, i was clocking in the low 15's. Now with these dualies i'm clocking 15.9's and I can really tell the power loss up top

WOW! they ripped you the **** off. The most i paid for a shop to do work was a full exhaust system from cat back to there own muffler and that was less then 200. **** being in HI or not thats a ******* rip. And its 3 months passed so your kind of screwed. Next time go somewhere else man.

my friend had the nur-spec on his wrx. Man, it was so loud, sounded good, but unbearable. It was quieter in fifth gear then at idle.

why not just have the cat to axle done in 3" and then your duals should be fine. it would be cheaper than getting a whole new exaust

Take the car to a reputable exhaust shop. Have them chop that gay *** dual exhaust off your car, and since your running turbo, have them do a single 3" MANDREL bent (not cheapo pressbend crap) exhaust back to a 3" inlet/through muffler.
