motor swap for gen 2
i have an 86 with 197000 mi. on the motor . Ive been looking around and have found several rebuild able stock ie 86 motors . but im interested in doing an engine swap if its worth the effort , more hp, more after market parts ,more displacement , that sort of thing . the question is will i be better served by building up a stock replacement or by going with another motor?? any help and comments would be seriously appreciated .
build up a stock replacement, turbo.
do a search, this has been asked hundreds of times. the gen-2 engines (either FI or carb) are unbelievably strong, but you can't swap much else in the chassis.
