has this been talked to death? K-series ?
I have not been on H-T for a while, and I have used the search feature but can not come up with any good info. I am thinking ahead into the future for a K series motor swap into my 5th gen Accord. I do not know much about the K-series but I do know that I would be looking at a K24 TSX? motor. Or maybe a K24 with a K20 head. I am just looking for any advice for motor swap options other than an H-series. Or even a list of engine codes and what cars they match up with. Any good Ideas?....please don't flame me to much, just serious answers

Re: has this been talked to death? K-series ? (AccordCD5)
I have a 7th gen sedan with a K24a. I'm not sure of the last number, but i'll get in my engine bay with a penlight today at work to see if i can get you the last digit. The TSX has the same block as my car, i'm not sure what gives it 200Hp and mine only 160. RSX base has a K20a3 and RSX-S has a K20a2 I believe, correct me if i'm wrong. K series utilize I-VTEC technology, which is very nice. The computer can advance or retard the timing by a set value depending on engine conditions. I believe the VTEC engagement is also variable, i'm not sure on how many different points there are. Very torquey motors. I like mine. I have I/H, and the response is good...still looking for more power...IMO I would grab a K24 block off of an accord, and throw a K20a2 head on it. I dunno if that would be cheaper than a TSX swap, just throwing the idea out there.
