Default Quick question...

Hey, a buddy of mine has a 1997 eclipse and is looking for a new motor. A 4G63T is what he is looking for but cant find one for under $1000 dollars. Anyone know of a web site or a shop that I can get one for cheaper? Hit me up.

I've never seen them for under $1300-$1500 through a shop or dealer. Unless you can find someone selling one thats about what you"llhave have to pay. Whats wrong with his motor? You might be better off doing a 1st gen swap or building his motor and doing a first gen head swap.

Don't know exactly. It's knocking real bad and doesn't sound good. We wanna swap a new motor or rebuild the one he has know. I want to find a 4G63T (1st gen) to drop in but cant find one for under 1000 dollars. Don't know what is making the noises, do you think it would be worth the effort to swap only the heads?
