Default whats up with my axle?

I just took this one out of the passenger side. how do i get it to go back into place? its a bseries

Muscle it or tap it back in once the splines are lined up. The snap ring has to "pop" into place and sometimes it's a p.i.t.a. to get it right.

I think he meant the axle popped out of the inner housing? Not sure but if thats the cause I take the clamp of the boot on the big side, line up the 3 bearings that are on the shaft to the housing and pound the housing back on. I then fill it back up with grease and clamp it back. Kind of ghetto but it worked.

He shouldn't have to pound anything, just line up the bearings, and spider gears in the grooves, and it should slip right in, then reband it and reinstall.
