IAC causing ATTS light to come on accrding to dealership
My brother's '99 Type SH was having the typical revving problem from a bad IAC, so i told him it was probably dirty or shot. when he got back to SC his ATTS light came on. He said he had noticed a little vibration in his clutch pedal, but not bad, and it had been there for awhile. Other than that it drives fine, corners normally and shifts ok. He took it to the dealership cause its under warranty, and at first they said the tranny had internal problems. then they said the IAC caused the ATTS light to come on. I have an '01 base model so i do not know much about ATTS other than what it is and does, but this does not seem to make sense to me, as they should have jack to do with each other. anyone out there know if this is possible?
ATTS works in different ways. Whenever you get a CEL for any sensor/device on the motor side, the ECU automatically disables ATTS hence the light. Pull the codes and come back to us, we can help you from there...
