I have a 92 Honda Prelude and my D4 light started blinking while I was driving home tonight. As far as I could tell my car wasnt driving or acting any different .This has happened before a few months ago but when I turned the car off it would stop and it hasn't happened since .What could this mean? I've tried looking it up and some people say its some kind of sensor issue or possibly transmission issues. I'm hoping its not the later. Anyone ever have this happen and if so what was the out come?

the d4 light blinking means there is a transmission trouble code stored. Go to a shop (not a parts store, they don't have the proper equipment) and have them scan for transmission trouble codes and diagnose the problem for you. It's usually something fairly simple, rarely needs a whole new tranny
