thanks..

i'm anticipating a very smooth swap, plus i'm not in any hurry with it.. if i hit something that holds me back a week or so, no biggie..

incidently it's a D15B2 -> D16A6 swap

end of day 2.

ready to pull out.

some things i learned today:

----

32mm axle nuts are no problem with a 4' long steel 1" pipe used as a breaker bar.. heh

everything (almost) in the engine compartment is either 10mm or 12mm, and everything underneath (suspension, exhaust) is either 14mm or 17mm.. my friend (who's got a chevy 305 in a datsun z) kept whining about how easy i have it and how hard he had it..

never let a friend try to use your camera.. heh

thank god i've got a header for the new engine, cuz that stock manfold can suck my @#%^@ once for every #$#^#^ 14 yr old 300lb torqued #$@$^^ bolt.

it's going to feel damn good driving this car when i'm done knowing that i did it myself..

----

battery in the camera died.. not many pictures..

thanks for the luck.. i'm off to mississippi for the weekend after work tomorrow.. i'm pullin out and swappin in monday night..

heh.. ATHF = my new addiction.. i'm waiting for the next dvd box..

yea, by myself, if that includes the help of whoever shows up, grabs a beer, and picks up tools to jump in..

the biggest thing i have to keep telling myself is that i'm not in any rush.. i dont want to have to pull it back out again because i didn't take the time to do it right the first time.. but having said that, i'm looking VERY forward to being done

sweet..

i keep getting crap from a couple guys here in town who think i'm crazy to swap anything in if it's not a B-series..

of course when i'm done with the D16A6, i intend to put his stock K20 to shame.. heh then he can talk all he wants..
