Vtec not engaging?
A friend of mine just put together his CRV-tec, everything is running fine but Vtec is not engaging. He's checked all related sensors, checked the solenoid, oil pressure switch, actual oil pressure, wiring, took all the rocker arms apart to be sure that all the little pistons moved freely, and all oil passages were clear.
Vtec still isn't working, does anyone have any idea's or suggestions. Anything wouild help, thanks!

have you checked the fuse to see if it's blown? You might want to check if theres a short, making sure that you got good continuity. check and see if the wiring to the harness (ecu) is correct. What kind of wire harness is he using?
I wasn't aware that there was a fuse for Vtec, he's using an LS exhaust. and the stock 99 civic EX harness with a GSR computer. He says all electrical circuits are good.

double check see if it is wired correctly again. make sure you have proper Oil level, warmed up your car to normal operating temp, check your speed sensor (does your tach's rpm and mph needle go up like it should)
