Basically i would like to know everthing needed and how to the swap. Oh and this going on a 94 civic ex. The parts are coming out from a 95 civic ex also but with abs. I did a search and really i couldnt find anything. If you have pics even better. thanks guys!

Okay...again.
What is the point in doing a rear only ABS conversion?
It may not even be possible to do the rear only; it may screw up the modulation.
At any rate, to do an ABS conversion...you need everything from an ABS car. This will include the modulator, the sensors, the hub rings, the computer etc...

sounds like you want rear disc brakes, but am confusing it with abs
. Do you know the difference between disc brakes and abs (anti-lock brakes)? If not they ARE NOT the same thing. But to do the rear disc brake conversion you will need the trailing arm off of the 95 civic ex WITH rear disc brakes, brake lines (stainless or the stock rubber if you chose), and e-brake cables. If you are taking it off of the 95 your self remember it goes on exactly like it comes off

sorry guys im going to hit myself w/ the bat
. i thought abs and rear disk brakes ment the same thing. what im looking for is rear to disk brakes. So is it just a basic swap. What about the brake lines and ebrake where exaclty do i disconnect them from the trailing arm or from the front where the master cylinder is. Will i still use the original booster and master cylinder. thanks

here's a very indepth step-by-step tutorial on rear disc brake conversion for 5th gen civics...even gives you a complete shopping list. there's even a link at the bottom for swapping out the master cylinder.

thats is some good information. The swap looks real simple he also advice to change the master cylinder and the proportional valve. Does anybody know if the booster and master cylinder out of a 95 ex is more responive meaning will it brake faster.

i'm not 100% positive, but to make an educated guess, i'd say the EX w/ rear disc brakes has a better master cylinder vs. an EX w/ drum brakes. i say this because of the hydraulic pressure required actuate disc brakes in both the front and the rear. you're best bet is to call up a honda dealership, ask them to connect you to their parts department, and ask the salesman for the part numbers for the master cylinder on an EX w/ rear disc brakes and w/o disc brakes. if they're the same, then there's no need to swap out the master cylinder. if they're different, then the EX w/ rear disc brakes' master cylinder is prolly better. check the proportioning valve as well. the tutorial explains how you can do that.
correct me if i'm wrong...the whole master cylinder thing is just my theory.

I don't know about G5 Civics, but I do know the G6 EX (rear drums) and G6 Si (rear discs) have the same master cylinder - just a different proportioning valve.

did a search guys the oem master cylinder is 13/16 i believe and the recommended swap is for a 91 ex 4dr m.c. which is 15/16. I need to change the proporting valve also. Everybody is saying go with 4040 but i continued my search and others here on the board recommend a 4030 which will be perfect the 4040 is more for like abs. Now my question is the brake lines do i use the original ones i have or the brake lines from the swap and do the connecters on each end of the lines fit the porporting valve?

you use all the old brake lines. The only lines you will need off the disc brakes is the final rubber hose going to the caliper. It's a small piece, don't know what you call it if anything, but I'm sure you know what I'm talking about.
