these are my 1 dollar questions, anyone? I have a 14b, as everyone knows they have internal wastegate set to 8 or 10psi from the factory, my block is fucked up, one of the head bolt's hole has no thread, I dont know what to do with it, I dont want my head to be lifting up so id like to boost like 5 psi only, using a manual boost controller.

what would be a good idea? Maybe u guys have an idea for me to fix this block, its a d16z6 engine on a 88 crx.

I bought this engine at the junk yard, the car was hit very hard, it was an automatic civic coupe ex, i went ahead and bought the engine, when i took it apart i saw this problem, no thread on one of the holes on the block, and the bolt next to it, was and oversized bolt with a bigger thread and a nut with a washer since the bolt was bigger, I dont know what the last "mechanic" used to do this ghetto thing but it is working since i applied 44lbs to that bolt with no problem.

I know i asked two question in one post, but i really need help from you guys, I have everything here to boost and im in hold because of this problem with the block.

Anyways, would the head lift with 5 psi? I put 44lbs to the rest of the head bolts.

 

I dont think you can lower your wastegate's boost setting with a MBC, only raise it.

 

what about the problem with the block? People say that I should use a heli coil, but what size? Id like to do it myself.
