Default B16A1 Transmission pressure plate bolts

I'm taking my tranny off my b16 and I need to know how to get the bolts off of the pressure plate. The heads on these bolts look like a star and there are 8 of them. I need to know what socket or tool I need to get these off -- thanks!

and you'll need a flywheel holder tool

You need it so when you take the flywheel bolts off they flywheel will stay in place. Otherwise it will move and you won't be able to take the bolts off.

Have a friend wedge a flat head in there or use an impact.

I would like to also confirm that it is a 10mm 12 pt socket.

14mm combination wrench works damn good too
1) get one of the tranny to block mounting bolts
2) place the bolt thru the box end of the wrench and thread the bolt into the block
3) chalk the open end of the wrench on the pressure plate (or if you're removing the flywheel, place the wrench end on one of the alignment pins on the flywheel

oh, the engine im working on is totally scraped so i planned on just locking the crankshaft in place so the flywheel wont turn

are there any other bolt sizes im going to have to worry about after i get the pressure plate off or will a 10mm 12 do it for everything? j/w before i run off to sears

holding tool, all i did was i kept turning the flywheel till each pressure plate bolt was on the top so if you pull straight up on the bolt when its at the top, it wont move
