Thinking about putting a test pipe on my stock exhaust. Worth it??
hey i have a 96 teg ls, bone stock. i am thinking about getting a test pipe and an o2 simulator for a few extra hp, do you think it will be worth the ~$75, or should i just wait until i have enough for a cat-back? any input is appreciated, thanks guys.
cut out the resonator first then buy a pipe long enough to fill that void. clamp the pipe in place. drive around like that for a while and see how you like it. if you like the way it sounds have a perfesional weld it in place.
I wouldn't do it. The power you gain will be minimal and the sound will be terrible. It will also smell pretty bad.
I'd save up for a cat-back and then do some better mods after that. Keep the cat until you absolutely feel the need to remove it.
