5/25 was our schedualed day for us to dyno @ little monsters in marysville.

So it went like this.. My buddy Johnny was crusing on the freeway with dave getting some tuning done, and me and steve were in my car ripping up the freeway, I was topping 4th gear around 120ish and my Oil light came on! I freaked and shut it down and coasted about 1 1/2 miles into a parking lot.

This happened to me about a week ago, solid oil pressure light and 0 oil pressure coming out of my feed lines. What I thought fixed it last time was the oil pressure relief spring/plunger got stuck and was not allowing any oil pressure. So **** I figured lets just drop the pan right here and see if it got jammed again!

Drop the pan, and I check everything.. looks ok, but the pan is full of metal flakes and it doesnt look like bearing material. So me and beau put everything back together, fresh 4 quarts, fire it up and again... 0 oil pressure! At this point I'm pretty pissed because we are in the middle of this parking lot at 3am with all my friends up here staying at my place and I cant even ******* dyno!

I really really didnt want to tow my car...

Especially by a ******* another CRX turbo.. lol, thanks beau for the tow! We towed it back to my work and the plan was just to leave it. So everyone headed back to my house while I was at work by myself thinking god, its 4am and we have to be at the dyno at 8am and this motor has got to be fucked. I said screw it I'm ripping this bitch apart and seeing what happend and am going to ******* fix it.

Ya... guess I'd never thought it would be a blown up oil pump! jesus, I couldnt beleive it. I had an extra ITR oil pump I put on and then I pulled all the mains and rods and cleaned them off real good and made sure they were still ok to run. Came home slept for 30 mins and we were off to the dyno. :-\

First on the dyno was my buddy ted sporting the HMT/Trailerpark SBC 283. The day prior we had my wideband on this thing and it was running really rich, especially when the secondarys opened.

Block hugger headers upside down to some Mandrel 2.5 bends.

You can see this baby is getting some nice hot air! The damn air cleaner was almost burning to the touch. It probably didnt help that the upper radiator hose was touching the pipe.

Thanks again to Dustin for letting us borrow that .60/.63 T3 turbo even though it

Well what did it put out?

First run was like 160whp, which was really sad. I knew it wasnt going to be much, but jesus only 160? When the carb was going Wide open it was simply dumping way way to much fuel and maxing out the wideband peg *** rich. So we tried a 1/2 throttle run and he made a 208whp/296tq pass @ 10psi. This setup has alot of potential just needs lots of carb work and a fatty IC.

Next up was beau. Let me remind you that everytime beau goes to the dyno there is always problems after problems! Nothing really major just small things that take time.

Good example my WB o2 sensor didnt fit in his downpipe because he didnt know the sensor was a tad bit bigger than stock.. So he had to grind it out.

Me installing the WB o2 sensor.

To bad we didnt get any pics with his 1 piece front end, because its very sexy! Btw, if ya didnt notice its a full race car

Lots of changes were made to the car since the last time it visited. Last time he put down 334 @ 26psi.

Stock Bore B16a (filled block)
SRP 9.1 Pistons / Eagle Rods
ITR Cams
Custom Intake/Exhaust manis
T4 60-1 Turbo Q-trim
Tial 40mm Gate
950cc Venom Injectors
Clutch Specialities Iron 4 Race disc
Zdyne ECU

Yet another problem, my wideband wasnt working on beaus car, and we didnt even have a base map to start out. I was getting pissed so Dave did a little of his magic and got a semi decent map started for him.

Oh and yet another problem.. first 2 passes vtec wasnt even kicking in, so they re-pinned the output for vtec.

After about 9 passes and sitting on the dyno for about 3 hours (and blowing fuel pump/ignition fuses)

Beau put down 380hp/250tq @ 20psi

Not bad but this thing should be putting over 400, Since the dyno time is kind of expensive we are going to find a road and just do some street tuning! haha

While Dave was tuning beaus car we had another problem. Johnny's god damn charge pipes were blowing up. Especially after he put on the boost controller on and cranked it up to 10psi.

Ya the home depot rubber bends suck ***.

We ended up finding something in the shop that worked out just fine.

Dave tuning Johnnys car w/ Turboedit. It was setup pretty good on the street but had a few spots that needed to be worked out. Funny how my wideband worked fine on johnnys car but not beaus.. Beau has a ******* curse everytime we go there!

Johnny put down 225whp/239tq @ 10psi. As dave would say "Thats ******* solid" Which it was, I was really impressed with johnnys setup. His exhaust was very very quite too, Pretty good for just a bone stock integra with a slapped on HMT setup.

Next up was me, had to dyno the twins because this turbo setup / engine setup is coming out!

The jeff frank *** dyno said 275ish whp. The twins felt very comparable to my old ls/vtec setup that put out 272whp.

Thanks dave for snapping a good pic of me with a dumb look on my face, haha. week prior I had street tuned my car so I didnt have to change a thing on my fuel maps, I only bumped the timing up a few degrees and thats it.

Only making 3 runs just because there was no need to stress that ******* high compression piece of **** anymore. Making 285whp/196tq @ 8psi which then jumped to 14 then back down to 12psi. My wastegates are kinda skizzy. But its pretty much what I guessed. The video will show how nicely this bitch smokes at 6500 hahah. Those napa rings have been in 2 different engines and on 3 different sets of pistons.

As always we headed to the OCB just like we do everytime after the dyno. Keep your eyes off that shitbox 4g Sedan and check out beaus sexy enclosed trailer!

The food was ******* gross and I think all of us just wanted to pass out.

Ah yes... playing with the food, nothing like ice cream/tacos/chicken/mashed potatoes/syrup

Pat filled the taco up and pretended to eat it..

I actually ate it.. lol

The rear motor mount broke in half on the dyno, I mean completely sheared off. Just another reason to pull it out!

Then we headed to dustins house to see why his car was running "like dodo" and see if we could fix it.

LS/vtec Turbo Love! ;D

Me and Steve were diagnosing it with the maximum boost book. We read that running .022 gapped spark plugs that looked like sanford & son was a bad thing. LoL, Put it a fresh set of plugs and used my zdyne ecu to fire it up.

Runs pretty good now, I'm impressed

Pat pretending to Pee in dustins coolant jug

Horrible shot, but I actually did **** in the ******, haha

Enjoy,

Jeff

Oh I failed to mention that my "twin turbo" setup had actually blown up... well not entirely, I broke the PR4 pistons ring lands about 2 weeks after I got the setup done, so I put in a set of PR3 pistons. yes 11.3 c/r Twin turbo @ 8psi, haha my timing is backed down around 15-16ish on the top end.

Ya, I should of done it right from the start, so 4 years ago I never should of put that junkyard setup on that single cam to be were I'm at now.

But please do enlighten me what to do to make it "right" so I will know what to do next time.
