new clutch is jumping/hesitating = ?
I just had a competition stage 2 clutch installed in my 98 dc2 because 1 of the springs came loose on my factory disc. Now that i have the new 1 installed i'm only half way thru my 500 mile break in period but the cluth is a little jumpy or hesitant when i try to engage first gear from a dead stop. Anyone know what this might be? I still have the stock flywheel because my mechanic said it was in great shape if that makes a difference.
sounds like it is slipping or something came loose inside. take it back to your mechanic. also make sure your hydraulic parts are working properly, it can make it jumpy and not smooth egagement.
i didn't get a new clutch, but thats sounds like a lil bit of my problem w/ my clutch also... today when i left for work and started driving the clutch pedal felt WAY easier to push in ( now it feels like normal) but when im shifting gears it doesn't wanna go into gear, it doesn't grind, but it goes in hard, so i can't shift normal, i have to shift, pause, push in gear, release pedal... and when i start in 1st the car kinda studders when i release the pedal... any ideaS?
