Default This is your sohc on 16lbs of boost!

that **** was hauling *** for about 2 minutes and then BOOM. the vacuum line came off the wastegate and when i looked i was at 16psi. i think i actually boosted more but 16 for sure. lol here some nice pics just wanted to share. its really no big deal i practically got the motor for free. sohc powa bitches!!

oil got all over the place, inside the car was filled with smoke, that **** was tizight

blew a hole right threw the front

and two in the rear

hmm is that piston crooked or is it just me? #1 was starting to melt too...

cracked girdle and a hungry *** pickup tube

dam rods


a piece of the rod stuck in the block

and heres my homemade tripple A. works with any car...

it was only in the car for 2 days when it blew.i was planning to just have this in the car while i rebuilt the y8 but oh well change of plans,lol i have to find another block now. this one had less torque on the low end but it was hella faster on that much boost! hahahha

damn man that sucks the exact some thing happend 2 a guy from around here but he had a b16 and it boosted up 2 about 30psi

shoulda got it tuned? damn,looks messy...but hey at least its a sohc block,wont cost u an arm and a leg to get another one..but next time,if u didnt..TUNE IT!!

1.5 blocks suck.

I've had my 14B boost up to 16psi before and it just blows my charge pipes off. its kind of a failsafe

lol, first of all i wasnt planing to boost 16psi+, the wastegate was set to 8-9psi but the vaccum hose came off and i didnt even notice, i was having too much fun boosting and even if i did i wouldnt waste money tuning a d15,tuning would probably cost more than the motor. once the rods go ill know i was making over 200hp, lol like i said its really no big deal.

haha, good ****. A buddies car the same thing happened and it was hitting 20psi on a stock d16a6, LOL. It survived somehow though.
