Who enjoys their DOHC??
I saw someone make a thread about how they love their SOHC. So here's one for the DOHC ppol. I started with a SOHC like most ppol, but I couldn't stand how long it took me to pass up cars when getting into the freeway. Now though, it's a different story, JDM ITR is much more enjoyable to drive. Post your opinions about your DOHC. Laterz

The only people who enjoy their SOHCs are those who haven't ever had the pure pleasure of the DOHC b series engine.
I still have my SOHC, and hate it. Went from a DOHC to a SOHC...

I enjoy my SOHC because I can run with 99-00 Si's, and 97-01 Prelude SH's lol

Horseshit, I've ridden in and driven plenty of B-series. Just to name a few.....b16a2, b20vtec, b18c1, b18c5, b18c1 boosted on 8 pounds........I don't give a **** how fast they are or how much they pull. I will ALWAYS love my D. And as soon as it's boosted 10lbs daily and 15 at the track, I'll love it eleventy billion times more.

Again, horseshit. You car will always be slow.
PS. This was the B18c1 turbo.

Re: (Honda_b16a2)
i dont have a DOHC myself, but i have driven a friends GSR swap into his 95 vx, and i must say i love the power on the higway. Much better compared to a d16z6, even w/ boost (the z6 is another friends, im still tryin to fund my DOHC, whether i just get b16 or go w/ a GSR swap or w/e :/)

Re: Who enjoys their DOHC?? (blkcivicpn0i)
got an h22 si and an em1 in the stable, life is good.Started out with a 92 prelude w/f22 and automatic, lol. That thing was horrible for any kind of performance but it was a great highway cruiser. I've driven a sohc on 9lbs and it was plenty of fun, But I enjoy the h22 grunt even more....................John

Re: (hatch34)
I've had the pleasure of driving a lightly modded gsr for about a year but sold it due to college and money reasons........
But I have a 00 hatch with a mini me now and I'm lovin it just as much, although I love it because it kicks *** in the twisties and not necessarily in a straight line......
Driver skill > monster engine but
driver skill + monster engine = good fun
I'm not partial to either SOHC or DOHC

Re: (WildPig)
i drove my car with the stock d15b7 in it and hated it. soooo slow. now i have a modded b16 in there and it is a world of difference. that and when im at the track spraying, and v-8s are wanting to line up agains me. thats a good feeling. i can take z-28s and bone stock ss, but any mods and it will take me.

I love my JDM 2nd GEN B16A, eventhough it is still stock...it stomps on GRS and one Type R!!!
Pulls like a ***** for being stock...I like it...
VTEC kinda kicks in late though; @ 6200 rpm and cuts at 9K...weird...on a stock P30 ECU
