just bought 91 crx si. the guy tells me him and his buddy did a min-me swap and that the engine is a 1.6L del sol motor. (i thought a mini-me swap used the original engine block?) its sohc non-vtec. he said he thinks its a d15y8......uhh. no clue need some help what friggin motor is in this thing, not really good with cars but i can kick your ***

Pretty sure Mini-me is a VTEC head onto a non-VTEC block.

 

D16Z6 head on Non VTEC block...

 

right a mini-me swap is a Z6 92-95 Civic Si/Ex SOHC VTEC Head onto a 88-91 CRX Si Block. but i dont believe that's what this car has because it isnt even a vtec head. thanks but already knew that.....still don't know what engine it is

could it be a d15 like he said with a y8 head, but i thought y8 head was a vtec.....

Ha! I talked to his buddy who did the swap with him and he said it's a 1.5L Del Sol Motor (D15B7) and a 1.6L head off a '96 civic ported & polished using the stock intake manifold.....ok thanks for the help anyway guys
