Going to the state ref need advice
Well basically I need to go to the state ref on June 4th to see how loud my exhaust is. I have a few questions though about the process. I was wondering if the state ref employee would pop my hood to connect something to my engine to verify what the engine rpm is. Since i have a jdm b16 in my car with no bar sticker, i would like to know inadvance because i am thinking about putting my stock motor back in to be safe.
Anyone with experience at the state ref i would like to hear your input. thanks

I went through the same process you are going to. Yes they will pop your hood and as soon as they see B-series they will not do anything else. I suggest put your stock back on with all the stock parts. Depending on the guy if one thing is off they will not test you. Good luck.
