Default Whats up, im new!

hey guys whats up. Ive got a 89 Civic Dx with no mods, not yet anyways. Ill be getting my cold air intake within the next week or so. How much would it cost to replace all my seals in my motor. And what would be the most important ones to replace. The reason im doing this is cause my cars got 200,000 miles and I imagine one day im going to race and my motor is going to go belly up. hopefully I will be able to replace all my rubber tubes within the next month.

before you start doing anythign to the current motor. make sure you plan what you want to do for the next fewmonths to a year. you might not want to stick with the same motor later on and the work you do on the seals and stuff will all go to waste.

you just got your car, so read up on Honda-tech for the great technical info so you can learn on differnt engines, modifications, etc. so you are getting your moneys worth for each part you buy.

What I was going to do was an engine swap. either a b16a1 or zcdohc motor. But is it worth the money and the time. Im still in school so I can only hold onto a part time job so I dont make that much money. thats why I decided on just tweaking this motor, but if you guys feel that it will be worth my money then I might save up for the other motor. thanks for any info.

if you can't come up with a 1500-2000 My opinion would be to geta zc. it's a direct bolt in swap and you can get the motor and a zc tranny with Ecu for 675.00 from alljapaneseengines.com
