Default B18A swap Qs. pls help.

a friend of mine is selling a B18 swap minus alternator and tranny. i'm really itching to get it and have it in my 90 civic Si but i also got some questions about the whole swap process. i've searched already and nothing came up even in the archives.

now i know i gotta shorten the integra shift linkage but by EXACTly how much?

my friend told me i don't need aftermarket engine mounts and that it will drop right in ? is this true?

i'm sure its OBD 0. it should plug and play, right? if not, what wiring do i need to do ?

i read somewhere i gotta use a combination of axles from diff year integras ? or do i just use the axles that originally came with the motor ?

i really want a B series in my car cuz i'm tired of the D series. now i have a chance but i don't wanna run into any trouble that will cause my car to be out of commission for more than a weekend, which when i'm planning to do it. so if anyone answer all of those questions that'd be great so i know ahead of time what i'm getting myself into. or even direct me to a site that tells it all. thanks

yes you will need to shorten the shift linkage. how much? im not sure exactly. you WILL NEED aftermarket mounts. You will also need 90-93 teg axles. Upper and lower rad hoses from a 90-93 teg.

What year car was this engine in?

should be plug and play on a 90 civic Si.

so it should be a fairly easy swap then ? now i just gotta find an LS tranny cuz the one that comes with it has shot syncros. i'm still thinking about it cuz right now i'm low in cash. i can afford it but that will mean no going out for awhile...

There's tons of threads on here about the shift linkage. Do a search.

Use the LS throttle cable and bracket. Not sure if Si will work, LS definately will.

You use the 90-91 intermediate shaft and ales (non abs), pretty sure 90-93 works though.

Since it's an Si, it's completely plug and play provided you have the OBD-O distributor, ecu, for the LS motor (you can reuse your Si injectors, they're exactly the same as the LS's, or you can remove the injector resistor and run OBD-I injectors if the motor happens to be ODB-1
