hey am putting together a ls vtec motor and i was thinking how much hp and torque will it make i have a 97 block with a 01 gsr head

 

a hair less then a gsr (due to lower compression)

again, different cams (b16, b17, gsr, CTR, ITR) all play a roll here. as well as TB and intake manifold etc.. but about GSR power.

Every LS-Vtec build is different. If you just slap the head on the block, it will have compresion in the 9's and be similar in hp to a GSR.

There are countless variations and combinations of parts to be used in this build. If you want an exact number, we can't give that to you, because an LS-Vtec isnt a motor form the honda factory with a given rating.


By the way, turn your CAPS LOCK off.

Hopefully you're putting Nitrous Oxide in your engine, and not an acronym for a brand.

 

He is right it all varries, each setup is different but rough estimate, depending on what kinda bolt ons also.

9-1 compression 160+whp
11-1 compression 180+whp

 

with your setup you should run EXACTLY 167.7 hp and 109.3tq these numbers are EXACT and is EXACTLY what numbers you will put down

alot of poeple telling me that ill have close to 200 hp n 175whp i dont know if thatz true so ill find out when i go to the dyno
