**** this is annoying.. so i go to turn it on this morning and i turtn the key and nothing happens, doesnt even turn over, cant turn on the radio or anything. nothing electrical works. Battery? cant be, i just got one 2 weeks ago. Im gueseing its the imobilizer on my alarm but i didnt even arm/disarm it since the last time i was using the car. also now i cant even arm/disarm my alarm and its just going off at random times. and it goes off in a weird way if i close the driver side door..
i have a cf hood and its got a bit of a gap at the sides, do you guys think water could have gotten in and fucked something up? i checked and everything seemed dry.. help , cuz i need to go places lol

well, the first thing i would check is make sure the battery connections are tight. If you only got the battery a few weeks ago, there's always a chance it doesn't have a good connections. Then if thats ok, check all the fuses under the hood and in the car. Maybe something blew when the battery was changed.
My friend had the same thing happen to his car. I know that you fixed it but if it starts to do that randomly again then I bet its because the terminals are dirty. His car would work on and off for a week until we cleaned the terminals out with a knife and then presto, never had that problem again. Just a heads up if your car starts to do it again in the next couple of days.
What year is your Prelude?
If it's a 1997-2001 Prelude, then you've got an immobilizer system.
They are known for not always working... typically you can take the key out and then put it in and the car will start.
The other thing that causes the 5G not to start is the ignition switch. There is a recall for this that should have been performed IF you have a 5G.
