Ask your self these questions. Are you going for Forced Induction or Normal Asperated. Are you planning to swap it later? these types of questions will save you alot of money because you don't have to buy something and sell it later. But if I were you I would save up for a Supercharger.

it is Naturally. It could be Normally, because the honda's normally come naturaslly aspirated, whereas turbo cars come normally with turbos... but then it get confusing

well im not a civic Si man, but i do know about the K motor.

If your going with just nice parts, I suggest
-Injen CAI
-DC Header
-Hondata ECU reflash
-Some echaust (Apex works well, as does the GReddy Evo)

If your going the JDM route, i suggest
-Spoon Drop In Filter
-Some exhaust (Spoon, HKS, Fujitsubo)

Also, find out if the JDM type-r header fits on the EP3, i dont know, but if it does, something to look into.

i would buy an A2 head and save a few more hundred to get k-pro. that would take you from 130 whp to around 170 whp. if ya don't wanna go that route, i would get....
$310 dc race header
$400 for any exhaust
$100 used injen cai
$595 for hondata
$60 hondata or nextgear intake manifold gasket
$27 es motor mounts

Total $1492

there you go mang. for the exhaust, i would go with fujitsubo (i'm biased) but that would put you over budget about $250. if "i" was bone stock and had $1500, i would go this route....
$650 fujitsubo rm-01a
$310 dc race header
$100 used injen cai ***all this would put you around 170 whp
$60 intake manifold gasket
$27 motor mounts
hold the $353 and save $650 more for hondata k-pro.

good luck and have fun!

I suggest that route. With an addition of a Hondata IM gasket and a RSX-S oil pump and adding the oil squirters so it the engine can handle the revs.

If you are asking this question then you are pretty new to this. Swapping the head is a great upgrade, but so is just swapping the whole motor to the A2 and you get the 6 speed tranny.

But maybe you should keep things simple, and to do that. Stick with the basics, intake/header/and exhaust.

Injen CAI about $210 shipped from Showstoppersusa (polished)
DC Sports Header (Ceramic) around $280 shipped from Showstoppersusa
A'PEXI N1 SERIES EXH $479.00 (not including shipping) from Options Auto Salon.

So almost $1,000 right there, and all three you can install yourself with out to much trouble. Just have a friend there to lend a hand when needed.

You can get springs for $150-$210, and SPC camber kits for around $140-$180. But save the left over $500 and either go with the Honda A3 flash (which would compliment your I/H/E upgrade). Or save up to get a full coil-over kit, like the Mugen or Tein kit. Well worth it IMO, and much easier to install. Take out and put in, better and quicker than having to compress and swap out springs on stock shocks. Then possibly having to deal with a knocking/popping sound and the plate not being put back correctly and you have to take everything off again to make sure you got it right.

I agree with KAL. It'll give you more hp in the end, but more difficult to do yourself, still worth the trouble. I do belive you'll have to save more to get the A2 head and oil pump and squirters and what not, but soooooo much better than your normal bolt-ons. Plus, better quality. It'll make you engine more durable by doing this too. Godd sugestions guys
