auto to 5spd....manual IM needed?
i am doing a auto to manual on my 97 EX.....i have all the parts needed....tranny, ecu, lines, starter, peddles....etc etc
just wondering if a manual IM and TB needed so i wouldn't have any idle problems? (due to the IACV differences)
for you guys that done this swap before.....please give me some info....
is there a way to wire the IACV/ECU differently differently or something?
thanks a lot

Yes. Unless you like a crappy idle. I know that on the Y8's, the auto IACVS idle like crap with the M/T ECU's cause as the other guy above said, one is a two wire one is a three wire.

on the d16y8 and d16y5, you DO need to swap the intake manifold and throttle body for one from a manual transmission car if you are using a manual ecu (you should). ALso if you are keeping the auto harness, you will have to do some rewiring of it for the iacv difference.
