Opinions needed. Q's about my RS.
I have a 94 RS AUTO, yeah I know it's sucks. I got two choices coming up either to go with a LS/VTEC and switch to manual or I was just planning on getting a Full Race (or equal) turbo kit and say funk it and stick with auto. I won't have enough money to do both turbo and manual. Would I be able to hang with the big tymers with the boost with an auto
. I saw a thread before asking if it is worth it to do a tranny switch and saw that half and half saying it was not worth the time and money. Also which would last longer if tuned correctly and done right?

Honda's auto tranny's are not known for handling power over the long run. Also you will lag more. I have to say for the money my choice would be all motor with manual. Tuned in on all stock internals I beat a number of boosted cars with my hybrid swap. Do you do any drag strip or SCCA racing?

I plan on trying both but mostly trying to get a little more power. My car just feels a little weak with the basic bolt-on's. I plan on p&p and changing internals in the future, maybe even a new block.

doing a decent LS/vtec is going to cost as much as a turbo kit so you're screwed either way.. by buying an automatic car you plan to modify, you've put yourself in quite the hole
