Trouble Shifting
When I try to shift in to 2ng gear it gives me a little trouble and its kinda hard to shift it almost feels like I have to pull it in. When I go to the track and I run it sometimes when I'm shifting from first to 2nd it doesn't go in....(but I also don't have the clutch in all the way to the floor, but I didn't have trouble doing it before) and in 5th gear its kind of hard to go in and when I put it in it grinds a little sometimes. The thing is if I take it out of fourth and wait a couple of seconds n then put it in to 5th or take it out of 4th n wait a quick sec n clutch it twice it ussually goes in smoothly....
Could it be a shift linkage thats bent or may be I should put better tranny oil...?
I changed my tranny oil about a year ago with Honda genuine tranny fluid....
What do you guys think?

I think it is your clutch. When you say, "track", do you mean dragstrip??? If so, I bet you messed up your clutch.
I tell you waht, after experiencing autoXing, tracking, and dragracing, I woul have to say dragracing is the hardest on the car.

It could be the clutch but I doubt that it could go that much and wouldn't be slipping all the time. Sounds like you synchros are shot. or on their way out. Change your fluid for some synchromesh MTF. Give it a little while and see if that helps.
At 156K miles on the OEM clutch, it did NOT slip at all. In fact, I could still chirp 2nd no problem.
Don't think that slipping is the only sign of a bad clutch.

Well a bad clutch or damaged clutch could cause other problems but it is just worn it would slip. But if you break a spring or any other part of the clutch then that's a different story. But in his case I doubt it would be the clutch because he said it was replaced fairly recently.

When I had my clutch replaced and we took out the old one one of the springs was broken and the clutch was gone pretty bad and you could also hear the spring turning around in there. I think the clutch got worned up faster because of the spring floating around and giving it trouble when shifting.
I'm gonna try that synchromesh, where can I get it. I've been to Kragen and Pepboys and I haven't seen but then again I haven't been looking for it so may it's in there. I'm asking just in case I can't find it there.
Also next year I want to put a 6 Puck ACT clutch kit and a lightened flywheel. And since I fear like you said (Sephro) that my synchros are going out, can you just change the synchros? or should I get a new tranny? What do you guys suggest I do with that because I don't want to spend cash changing the clutch n then have to open up the tranny again to change stuff or change the tranny alltogether.
Thanks

You can get the synchromesh at some autoparts stores. It's Penzoil Synchromesh MTF. Or you can get it at any GM dealership that has a service department. They call it GM synchromesh MTF. It's the same stuff as the Penzoil since they make it for GM. There is also the friction modified at the GM places. I have never used the friction modified but some people say it's better.
As for replacing the synchros... you can change them but I am not sure exactly how much is entailed in doing so. It might be cheaper and easier to just get a new tranny. You can find used ones pretty cheap.

My car kinda had a similar problem before. It would crunch a little going into 3 and 5th gear. When I would double clutch it wouldn't. I put in the GM synchromesh tranny fluid and no more crunch. Stuff works great.
I went to Kragen today and they didn't have synchromesh, I'm gonna try Autozone I heard they have the penzoil one there. Is there a certain weight on the oil or is it all the same?
And how many quarts do I need?
