YO, my cat is getting red hot on the middle, when is parked. Once I start running it, it cools down. But It's making a weird noise, and my car has no power.

 

So your question is.........???? I would start out replacing the cat. The sound could be that something in the cat came loose. That happened in my Prelude. It had chunks shooting out of the exhaust. Then next tune it up, spark plugs, wires, oil change, fuel filter, air filter, etc

 

everything started after I changed the intake manifold, and It wasn't tight enough, and some cooland went into the engine, and white smoke was comming out of the car. And it sounded like ****. And is loud real loud. And I got stop b4 that and the cop gave me a chance. So, I don't think I want cops after me every single day in town 4 the same.

 

you are probably running rich in fuel for some reason. that fuel is burning inside your cat which is for all purposes fried. when i didi my mpfi swap i used a dist. that i got off ebay and over the course of a year it did the same thing to my cat. finally one day at a track 3hours from home it died on me. i had to take a new dist. to dallas to get it home. luckily i had friends with me to take me home. do a tune up first and if it still persist i'd get a dist. from dist. king and replace it.

My gas milage this week was f*cked up. It only gave me about 200 miles per tank, and b4 it could give me, pushing it 275. So is baddddddd kid.

 

Cats suck, I'm using a resonator behind the header.. looks like a cat.
