CKP (Crankshaft positioning sensor) Location????

What? The CKP, CYP, and TDC sensors are all in the distributor. What kind of sensor is behind the crank pulley?

The sensor behind the pulley is the crankshaft SPEED sensor. Make sure the connections were clean when reconnecting and that there is no wear on any of the wires along the timing belt.

yes. VAFC gets its RPM signal from the CKP sensor. if you HaXoRd up that wire and didn't connect it... i'd have to say that is your problem. check that before you go dumping money on a bunch of other crap that you don't need to replace.
Could this also be from wiring in the ecu? We re-soddered the wires after removing my vafc... If I cannot fix this, I am going to have to have the car towed to a friend's shop.
