Default Crank Position Sensor on a 96-98 civic ex.....where is it?

Is it located in the distributor or the crank>>>>>

the crank position sensor is located at the crankshaft. you can access it by removing the timing cover, crank pulley, timing belt. The crank gear is also the sensors reference.

That would be the Crankshaft Fluctuation Sensor you are referring to. The CKP sensor is inside the distributor along with the TDC and CYL sensors.
