type s cams....are there any markings
my brother just purchase some "type s" cams for his h22 motor. the wierd thing is that when he didn't install the cams, he ran a 12.9 on pumped 91 and open headers
. with the cams installed, he ran 13.0 all day on 110 and open headers
. i was wondering is there any kind of marking to tell them apart from the stock cams and will the stock sprocket affect the the advance/retard of the cams on stock timing. please reply with any thoughts or pic of the cams. thanks.

well you can messure them and compare to stock, the lobes are larger.. im sure satan will chime in on those measurements here soon
so there are no markings at all. like on the itr cams or ctr cams on the b-series motor there are markings on the outter edge of the cams. so the only way to tell is to measure them then? thanks again.
i've been looking online for a while now and still no luck of any pictures of any marking or noticeable indications on the cams. can anyone tell me the durations on the cams or the lobe height compared to the stock cams. if any one have any pictures of there type s cams to show me what to look for that wold be great.
well mine in on kam in the middle have a "K-9" in the other cam says in the middle "J-L" there type s, i think jejejjeje

a cam upgrade using an open header for both trials should not incease time in the quarter. Backpressure does not affect performance that much, if so race cars would run full exhaust systems.
thanks for the reply. which cam is the j-l and k-9. do you have a pic. as soon as i have some more time, i'll take it off the car to check on it.
wierd my cams had marking on the ends of them 2 rings on the end of th cam so let me know if this type s cams or could they be accord type r cams
are these markings on both the cams, for the intake and exhaust. i heard that the cams on the type r accord are the same as the type s. the only difference is the manifold. is this right? please reply. thanks.
