Default Honda 2003 CD Display Trouble

My display on my car has turned very dim, it used to be bright but now its almost impossible to see. My girlfriend said she was messing around with the brightness for the speedometer and stuff and thinks she messed up the display but has not idea what she did. Does anyone know how to fix this without having to take it to a dealer? Thanks

Eric

yea a lot 03 accord owner is having this problem. BUT try this first before you take it into the dealer. hold the CD/AUX button for couple of second and it should fix it. if not take it to the dealer.

Dude this is why you have a warranty. Don't mess around too much and risk messing something else up. You paid for the warranty so you might as well get your money's worth

I ended up taking it to the dealer today and they had to repace the whole radio its under warrenty so there wasn't a charge...

I drive a lease and I already have too many miles on the car so I didn't really want to take it to the dealer.
