Looking at buying an '02 Accord coupe EX V6 w/auto. Has questionably low miles (three digit). If the speed sensor or the dash cluster has been tampered with, is there a way to confirm actual milage using the on board computer or a shop based plug-in computer?

 

you can always read the inspection card... and i think the 02 is digital, im not sure how they can tamper with that, but "theres always a way" somehow...

 

Get the VIN and go to carfax.com. This site is a great tool to determine what a car has been through.

 

I would check carfax regardless. But you can also ask for service records (which track not only services but miles too)
