P08: B16 OR D15B?

Default P08: B16 OR D15B?

Im going to do a jdm d15b swap very soon. I need to get the p08 ecu but im confused becuase when i find them they are for the b16. I thought the b16 had pr3.
Can somebody help me out.

Also does anybody have a p08 for the d15b for sale i need one asap.

im pretty sure the p08 is obd1 and you can use it for the d15b . but the pr3 there is a obdo and a obd1 pr3. you can use either pr3 depending how you wire the car.

I'd use the pr3 being it's OBD0 and still uses the same ecu harness. That P08 would be a PITA to wire up unless you get a OBD0 to OBD1 adapter harness.

That's BS
P08's are for D15B VTECs
I'd go OBD-1 rewire and do it right the first time
I doubt the ECU designed for the B16 will run OK on the smaller engine with a diff rev range

it depends on what you plan on doing. if you are going to build it later on i say go with b series. if you just want alittle more power and will be satisfied for a long time then go d series
