Default HID's! I need some help

I had no idea where else to put this, so the moderator can move it to where ever he/she feels it should go. OK, i have an aftermarket HID setup in my 89 CRX. there eaglite HIDs(i don't know if anybody knows about them or not), but I pulled them out of a 2001 civic EX in the junkyard. they fit right into my headlights. anyway, after having them on for about 15-20 minutes, they'll shut off. not both at the same time, but one or the other, sometimes both. I've heard somebody say that the ballasts maybe getting to hot and shutting themselves down. I've never heard of anybody having problems with this brand HID. I'd like any input I can get, like if somebody has had this problem or someone may know a solution. it sucks when they both go off at night. thank you.

You can also try putting the ballasts in the fenders to keep them cooler. May be heat related.

would some sort of fabricated heat shield work too? or what about a small tube from the front of the bumper (CAI style) to the ballast work? so it gets some cooler air than what the engine has to offer, and maybe a constant blow of cool air on it might keep it cool too.. dont know..

I was thinking about moving them, but I couldn't think of a good place for them. is there anyway to test the ballast?
