Default Valve Guides!

Hi again!
Can anybody explain the process of removing the old valve guides froma B18 head? I have bronze ones at the ready, but curious on how the old ones come out.. Is it really labour intensive?

Thanks

Andrew

you need to bring the head to a good machine shop to have the guides replaced. they need to be pressed out with a hydrolic press and the new ones pressed in.

there is also a spec on how far in the guides need to be pressed into the head which is why a good machine shop who has worked with honda head before should have no trouble doing this for you.

good luck

It's explained in the helms manaul. Ask your machinist if they can do it.

You'll also need to do a valve job after the guides are replaced.
