sure compressor maps tell us which cold side to run...how do "know" a t3 hot side....

sure compressor maps tell us which cold side to run...how do "know" a t3 hot side....
so we can use airflow to determine which compressor we need, but how do you technically choose between a t4 or t3 exhaust side?
a compressor map only shows one side of the turbo right? if so...which factor or calculation tells us the info on which other side to use? or is it a random guess that hondas will work better with a t3 hot side than a t4?
