$400 f*cking dollars LABOR???? Yikes.
If you do it yourself, make sure to get a spring compressor, a lot of people will say "you dont need one, just aim the spring at a wall blah blah".... better safe than sorry.
Maybe a helms manuel? Someone here has to have a site with pics and step by step instructions to do it. I did, but i lost it. I'll look for it.

ive ordered the parts and there on there way. ive managed to gather up all the tools needed except a spring compressor. I think I can rent one of those though. I dont have any experience doing this but i will have a friend with me that has had a little. (replaced springs and shocks on his truck to raise it about 6 inches) lol complete opposite of what im doing. Any of you guys got any thing to say about how to use the spring compressor. haha like i said ive never done this before. thanks for all the informative information

it's relatively easy, I did it by myself last fall. If I had any experience it would have been pretty quick but it was my first time so I went slow. I recommend the spring compressor as well, just makes it safe and easy. When I tried to go to autozone they gave me the wrong type and said I couldn't do it without air tools so I left, then just bought one for $30 from pepboys. Make sure you get the kind that goes OUTSIDE the spring. Basically a pair of 2 hooks - one set of 2 for each side. you slip it between the springs (near the top and bottom) and you slowly tighten the compressor with a wrench or ratchet. This part will take a long time if you don't have air tools because you have to tighten both sides relatively evenly. So do 10-20 turns on one side, then the other. Back and forth.
The other tip is about breaking the rear upper ball joint. In the NTPOG review they use a pittman arm puller. That is probably not necessary. All you have to do is tap on it with a mallet while pulling down on the arm and it should just spring apart. If not you can rent the puller. You DON't need to do this on the front.

I had a friend help me do mine... I've done it a couple times now, and it's pretty easy once you get the hang of it. The hardest part for mine was compressing the spring... if you have a Chilton's or Helm's, you can read up on it... as well as doing a search on Google for Honda suspension installs. Most are fairly common.
