Default H23 si ran low on oil

This SI i'm about to buy is a 92 SI but the kid ran it low on oil so now it's really rough when you start it now if i just go ahead and replace the bottom end it should be just fine right? cuz i think the rod bolts and **** are stretched i'm not 100% yet i will be once i get the car i'm buying it off of him for 1900 so you can't beat that for a 92 that's in great shape other than that just let me know if that is the problem or not or give me other possibilities it could be

sounds like a good deal.
you should be able to get away with just
building the bottom end, or you could swap
a complete engine for a little more money

the bearing is likely spun...I'd swap the motor right away

i don't have the money to do the full swap but i do have the money to buy a new bottomend so i'm just wanting to get the bottom end so that i can drive it back and forth to work and **** until i can afford to buy the H22 engine and swap in it when i first get the car i'm taking the engine out and taking the bottomend out and finding out what the problem is then going from there but thanks for your help

How about you just buy my h22 bottom end internals I got all you need oil squirters and all! Then when you get the money you can buy an h22 head and then voila you have an h22! With an h23 stanp on it.

well I bought a ghetto 93 si with spun bearings for $150. I did a VTEC engine swap. Have about $4K total investment in the thing and absolutly love it. Haggle that the engine is blown and will cost $3000 for a swap and maybe you can get it cheaper. or just get it and swap the bottom end ASAP.
