Default my ALPINE deck is not working>>

I have a 95 civic ex coupe and had an Alpline cd player deck installed about 1 year ago. the speakers are fine and the cd -player works fine. BUT the radio does not work that well. Sometimes it just goes staticy for entire mintues or all of a sudden the current station swithces to a anotehr one, while still displaying the old station.

This has been going on now for like 3 weeks and dont know what to do. I have never taken a deck apart and have clue how to even start, but I hear its not difficult at all. Any suggestions?

Where did you have it installed? If you got it installed professionally take it back and tell them your story. Or just try sliding out your deck and see if maybe your antenna(sp?) connection slipped out. Otherwise who cares...its only the radio right??? At least he CD player works still!!!

i had it installed at CarToys and I am assuming that they will just charge me to fix it. so i was wondering if someone on this board new if there was like a quick fix to it or something I could try? Is there a specific wire that goes to the radio which controls radio input?

The antenna wire is a thick almost 8 guage in size and looks like coax. Slide out the deck and simply look for that wire...it should be all by itself. The wire is male and the deck is female. Check it out and if you still have ?'s holla back!

Along with the deck should have came some keys that slide in on the middle of the deck. Just slide em in there and pull and the deck should slide right out.
