Default cd

I have a 97 Civic Ex with wireless entry. It came with a radio and a cassette player (two separate pieces). I might get an a sony or pioneer cd player, but I heard that the wireless entry system won't work if the radio is replaced cause it goes around it or something.

I was planning to keep the cassette player and replace the radio with a cd player. The problem is, the tape deck control is on the radio deck. Then how would I be able to control my tape deck? Is there anyway to do that? I could replace the tape deck with a cd player, but then it will have to sit on the bottom by the a/c outlet which I don't want because it'll be hard to change disc. And it's piontless to keep the radio since I don't listen to it and no need for the controls on it since my tape deck will be replaced. Any suggestions and how can I get my wireless entry to work if I replace the radio with the cd player?

I think that there is a way to keep the factory keyless, but if worse comes to worse, you can get an aftermarket one, that dosnet suck for like 100

Is there anyway I can replace my stock radio with a cd player, but keep my stock cassette player? Well, I know I can make it anyway I want, but what I mean is, is there anyway I can still use my cassette player if I replace the radio with a cd player since the cassette player controls are on the radio.

can't you just get a CD changer (either Alpine w/ adaptor or factory honda) and be done w/ it? that way you'd have your radio, cassette (being controlled by your radio) and cd changer for CD"s.. or does the head unit control Either/OR.. meaning either a CD OR cassette and not both? not sure about that head unit...

well for the keyless you can buy the "Y" adaptor and put the old deck in the dash and put in a new deck.. then you'd have a new deck, CD, and your keyless... but it won't control your tape... I dunno about you.. but I haven't listened to tapes in years... so I wouldn't have a problem getttin rid of the stock deck and tape player... you might as well replace the paper 15W made in Mexico speakers too... I remember when I took my speakers out I was like wtf?
