Do you mean the CEL? If so, you'll have to locate the blue connector behind the center console. It should be a two pin connector. Jump the connector by inserting a paperclip or wire from one pin into another. Then turn the key to ON, and watch your check engine light on your dash.
One long blink = 10
One short blink = 1
Count them and watch out for multiple codes. It should repeat itself indefinitely until you figure out the numbers. If you want, I can look them up for you. Just let me know what codes you get.
Oh BTW, your ECU is actually located behind the passenger floorboard. Remove the passenger side carpet by the firewall and pull it back. There should be a huge metal plate there. Remove the bolts holding the plate in (you'll need a long extension, if I remember correctly). And your ECU should be right under it.

On the 5th gen there's a little carpeted panel that pops off the passenger side of the console, roughly 5" in diameter or so. Probably similiar on your 92.

Nope, dig around the back of your center console. I suppose you can remove the radio to make it easier, but it's back there somewhere.
as soon as you look from the drivers side into theback of the console. Its the 3rd clip from you. there is 1 yellow first and then 2 blue ones. Its the second blue one that has only 2 wires in it!

ok i found it... one wire was blue and the other was brown... so i the clip in on both ends, and nothing came up.... i waited a couple of seconds and still nothing... how long do i have to wait, or did i wait long enought?
thats exactly what i did... found the blue and brown wire that connected into the harness, and put the paperclip into each end and nothing happened... the engine light didnt even come on... is everything good? or should the engine light atleast have come on?
well b4 u do nething. put the key on.. on. and see if the engine light stays there.
if it does turn back one notch, and put the paper clip between the two metal pieces on the blue wire. one end on one side, the other end of the paper clip in the other. hold it there. and than turn it to on again.
