Default hole in my head!!! is this normal?

was inspecting my head today and noticed these holes in them. not sure if these are normal but i have one on both sides of the head. this head came off a stock motor so i dont believe there was any abuse to it.

Those are oil drain back orifi. The slags hanging into the holes are casting flashes. You can grind them down and finish them if you want.

If you think that's weird, look in the #4 exhaust port on the solenoid side of the head.

think about it, you pour the oil in the top of the engine and it somehow has to get to the bottom of the engine to the oil pan... how's it get there?

probably through one of the oil return oils...sure as hell isnt that little cut out area. When I pour oil in it tends to flow down the #4 cylinders exhuast cam and then drip down to the oil return hole bewteen $4 and #3 cylinders...
