Default Cluster face change question

I need a clutster with a tach for my car and came across a jdm one. I know people change their faces of their clusters to white all the time. Here's my question, if I get the jdm one can I change the speedo part to my current one? I would like to keep it mph. I've talked to one of my friends that changed it a while ago and he told me I'd have to recalibrate it. I remember driving his car on the freeway and going 45 mph and I was really going about 65mph. Any suggestions would help...thanks in advance

Do I have to do any adjustments other than swapping the speedo face?
