Default 95 turbo civic.. check engine light under boost?

We recently put a a greddy turbo, 15G, onto my buddies 95 civic EX. Got all the goodies on, soldered the blue box connections and all the stuff. The car runs great until boost and V-Tec kick in. Everytime we hit boost, the check engine light will pop on and the car will intermitently rev from 1k to 2k. Would the best thing to do to re-soldered all the connections and see if that works? Any help is appreciated. We are keeping to car from hitting boost until we can solve this problem. Thanks,

-Justin

check the ecu code and see what the code is... that will tell you, your problem.

Does it only come on when boosting and then go off? Or does it go on when boosting and stay on? If it stays on then jump the ecu and check it out.

The light stays on after boosting. Have to turn the car off then it is fine. I will try to check the codes tomorrow when I get a hold of his car.

Check your connections on your MAP sensor....more than likely this is the case!!!

Checked his car tonight for a few minutes. I fooled with the map connections, but the light still came on under boost and stayed on. When I get his car tomorrow, I am going to soldered the MAP connections instead of those stock crimps greddy sent and try running it again. Tried to check the codes, but no lights would blink? Tried different ways to bridge that little connector, but the lights would not blink.

Also, we installed a Walbro 255 fuel pump. When we turn the ign. to ON, it is louder than the stock pump for the few seconds when it gets power to it. I believe this is normal, but this is my first experience with a Walbro pump, so I want to make sure.

He just got a EVO2 exhaust put on and there seems to be a noise of either air or maybe more fuel in the return line flowing since the Walbro 255. Sounds kind of like a constant "whoosh." We ran the car before the new exhuast and the noise was not there, so I would guess a loose exhuast bolt it causing a leak. No exhaust smell is present though, so I am a little stumped. Until I get the car tomorrow night, I cannot answer any of these ?'s myself, so I wanted to see if anyone has had similar experiences. Thanks a million,

-Justin

I believe we double checked all the connections were right, but I will go over them again today.

Got to work on the car for a bit tonight. Checked over all the soldered connections and they all look good. The only connections I found were a little different was the MAP connection. In the haynes manual is calls for a white wire on the ECU harness. The MAP sensor in the engine bay does have a white wire but on the ECU harness in his car, the connection is a Pink/white wire?

Greddy also states a gray wire coming from the blue box goes to INJ G, but there is no gray wire, only a Black/Red is left over for this connection. I connected the Black/red to where the grey one would go. No luck.

The light is still poping on when we hit boost, the nagging problem is bothering me, but I feel I have wired it the way they state. Anyone with a 95 civic that has the greddy turbo kit lend a hand with this? Thanks a bunch,

-Justin

EDIT: Tried to get the codes again, but the engine light does not blink, no codes are being thrown out.

We are not running a missing link or check valves on his car. I thought the e-manage tricked the ECU and would not spit out the check engine light. I will look into a missing link or check valves and see what we can do. Thanks,

BUMP

Got a missing link on the car and the CEL light is still popping on. ANYONE with a 95 greddy turbo civic can offer some help with the emanage wiring?

I have wired it exactly as suppose to, but the light is still coming on. I won't get to the car till Friday, but any more help is appreciated. I will just start over with the wiring and redo it completely and see how that works.
