adjusting distributor

Default adjusting distributor

i just put a distributor into my d15b2 and was wondering if i could adjust it without a timing light? and what would happen if it were run too retarded or too advanced would it wear out the distributor quicker?

no it wouldnt..but why do you want to move it with out a timing light?

Was the guy blind ? Go buy a timing light for 20 bucks.

cant say it any better.. but u cant buy a timing light for 20 bucks.. more like 60 bucks.. its worth it though. i got one..

If you have the money you could defiantly spend 60 bucks on a timing light, but they can be found for 20 at some stores.

Harborfreight sells them for 12 bucks, I would never buy one from there but they can be had for under 20 bucks.
