I'm just curious to know what all the electronics and stuff people have in their boosted/tuned cars do.

Like the AVC-R and SAFC and ITC (as well as any other acronyms you can think of).

I just see stuff like that in people's cars, and I'm just curious to know what all that stuff does. Plus, I wanna go boost, and I'd like to know what kind of stuff would be needed or helpful.

 

Greddy profec B (the small black box one) and an AEM EMS, oh and a SAFC II just cause I have it and it looks cool as a display.

 

I think he's asking what they do, not what you have...

SAFC = Super Air/Fuel Controller. Allows you to modify the amounts of fuel your engine gets, so you can get your air:fuel ratio right where you want it. Better A:F ratio = more power.

VAFC = SAFC + a Vtec controller. Allows you to set your vtec engagement point.

then the AEM EMS is a stand alone engine management system
