no boost in 1st or 2nd gear but it comes in third what the hell?????
i installed my turbo set up and have been trying to tune my car to run properly for the past month and i can't figure the dam thing out!!!!!!!!!!
need some help
like i said for some reason boost will not work in first gear i will rev to 8000 rpm and nothing my boost gauge will show zero vacuum but when i go to second gear it will start to boost.
sometuimes it happens from second to third as well!!
could it be the wastegate
the wastegate i have doesn't have any markings on it
i am running a sparks racing turbo kit that i regret buying!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
it smokes a lot but i believe that is from the 550cc inj. that i try to tune with my afc

wastegate or bov could be open due to bad vac line.
check those as well as all your connections on your charge piping.
sounds like your leaking somewhere but it could be something else

DUNNO IF ITS DUE TO BOOST LEAK IF IT IS BOOSTING AFTER 1ST GEAR. WHAT ARE URE AFC SETTINGS? DID U USE THE HACK, WHEN I FIRST INSTALLED MY SETUP THE MAP SENSOR PUT THE CAR INTO LIMP MODE.

the settings on the afc are almost -40 on narrow throttle and around -20 on wide throttle
with my wideband it still runs hella rich around 12.5 i am trying to get it to 13.5
sometimes it goes to 10 on wideopen throttle
its funny though at idle the car's A/F ratio is 14.5 and the afc setting is at zero, but i have to minus the rest of the curve after 2000 rpms to get a decent A/F ratio

I wasn't awaire that your car would properly handle the gm 3bar w/o a standalone unit. that could be your problem all together.
ive heard of a 3 bar map working with a stock ecu, but then again i heard that it doesnt. i know the stock map sensor can safely read up to 9-12 pounds of boost without throwing codes. but in your case running that much boost without stand alone is probably your probblem
If i had to guess it would have to be a pre-turbo leak maybe the manifold it leaking somewhere and only when your in a higher gear with alot more exsaust gas is it able to spool the turbine enough to get some sort of boost. I'd guess something else but you say that the boost kicks in at different points. (sometimes 2nd sometimes 3rd) What sounds are you hearing?? Do you hear a leak or spool of the turbo?? How about the wastegate?? Give us as much info as you can if you want better help. You have to remember we're not there hearing and seeing it all like you are.

If you have one of my kits come down to the shop orange county 15 min away.. most likely its a busted silicon adaptor or you put the wrong size couple on the turbo out of the compressor
